Counting Box With Cards
The counting box will introduce children to basic numbers. All you need is 10 wooden pegs and cards that respect the Montessori color palette.
To start, choose a red card with the number 1 and only 1 hole. Place it on top of the box and have the child place that many pegs in the hole. Gradually increase the difficulty, up to number 10. As a reward, the children can pull out the plate in the middle of the box and let the peg(s) fall into the drawer.
While playing with a box, cards, and pegs, children practice motor skills, eye-hand coordination, logical thinking, and learn the basics of mathematics.
Multiplication Table
A number table with rulers of various lengths, in a color spectrum that respects the principles of Montessori pedagogy, is another toy and tool for introducing children to numbers.
Rulers with numbers from 1 to 10 and mathematical signs will allow children to become familiar with counting, numbers and basic mathematical problems through visual demonstrations. Children will count the pieces on the rulers themselves on their fingers, become familiar with the number and color corresponding to the given number, and the most clever ones will try addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
Playing with a multiplication table teaches children to recognize colors and numbers, introduces them to the principles of Montessori pedagogy, numbers and arithmetic problems, improves logical thinking, visual perception, and teaches children to concentrate and be patient.
Rainbow Ball Counter
The wooden abacus is a classic educational toy that should not be missing from any child's room.
Children learn addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication more easily when they can visualize and try everything out using balls in soft pastel colors.
The calculator in the form of a rainbow will help children with counting, teach them colors, train fine motor skills, and is also a beautiful decoration for a child's room.
Number Cards With Pictures
Ten counting cards respecting the Montessori color palette teach children to count from 1 to 10 playfully.
The cards are colored and numbered according to the principles of Montessori pedagogy, supplemented with simple pictures, and will introduce children to basic numbers through play. To make the game not just about counting, you can supplement it with interesting stories about the objects in the pictures.
When playing with cards, children improve their grasp, logical thinking, become familiar with numbers, learn to recognize numbers, colors, count from 1 to 10, develop visual perception and, when supplemented by talking, auditory perception.
Fraction Insertion Puzzle
The insertable wooden puzzle introduces children to a new way of counting – dividing a whole into smaller parts, with fractions.
A wooden board with round cutouts and an insert puzzle in the form of wheels divided into a different number of parts (1 whole, 2 halves, 3 thirds or 4 quarters) is a game that will show children in a clear way how it is possible to divide and subdivide a whole.
By playing with puzzles, children will practice visual perception, motor skills, eye-hand coordination, logical thinking, and become familiar with fractions.
Alphabet Tracing Board
A wooden alphabet board and a wooden pencil are ideal for teaching letters and writing them.
A chart with large block letters, a wooden pencil, and numbered arrows showing how to write is an educational tool for introducing children to the capital letters of the alphabet and practicing their writing. Children can trace the letters over and over directly on the chart and become familiar with their characteristic features.
While playing with the board, children will learn to recognize capital letters and the alphabet, try writing them, practice proper grip, motor skills, and learn to concentrate and be patient.
